Camp Chicago is a one-day, all-American celebration of summer, camaraderie, and unabated good times on the banks of the Chicago River. It’s a 21-and-over summer camp experience built on nostalgia for the best part of being a kid in America, brought back for your adult self. Camp vibes and the ease of old friends, now with cold drinks in hand, yard games, live music carrying across the water, and the Chicago River & skyline as the backdrop.
The setting does as much as anything. Chicago’s east riverwalk becomes a compound-like space nestled into the riverfront, fitted with wooden hut structures, river access, and the downtown skyline rising behind it. A rare pocket of the city that feels set apart from it, made for a day-into-night celebration that runs into the summer evening.
Camp Chicago is produced by Green Curtain Events, the producers of Tacos y Tamales Festival, Great American Lobster Fest, WingOut Chicago, and other seasonal events across the city.
The invitation is simple: Show up. Have fun. Celebrate the summer together. It’s the kind of day people end up yearning for, year after year.
